Size Guide

Denim waist numbers refer to the finished garment, not your body. Rigid, non-stretch denim is usually best taken true to your waist measurement; stretch denim can be taken one size down.

There is no single international standard for footwear, so conversions vary by a half size between houses. Italian and French labels tend to run narrow; if you are between sizes or have a wider foot, take the larger size.

European tailoring is numbered roughly ten above the US chest measurement, so a US 42 chest corresponds to an EU 52. Italian houses cut closer through the body than British ones — for a relaxed shoulder, take one size up.

European collar sizes are the neck measurement in centimetres, so 15 in converts to a 38. Leave room for one finger between the tape and your neck when measuring.

European trouser sizes are close to half the chest measurement in centimetres. Complimentary alterations are included on all full price tailoring — ask a stylist before you order.

UK sizes run about half a size below US for men. Goodyear welted and leather soled shoes ease with wear — they should feel snug, not tight, when new.

European children's sizes are the child's height in centimetres and mark the maximum the garment fits, not the middle of the range. A child measuring 137 cm has only a little room in a 140 — take the next size up for a season of growing room.
